KUFER_koncept

The theater company KUFER is launching a new project KUFER_koncept , within the framework of which it is issuing a public call for the submission of concepts by young artists who will be presented at a one-day event in cooperation with KunstTeatr and KunstCaffe.

The goal of the project is to develop selected concepts together with the applicants, to present them to professionals and the general public in a format short presentations with possible dramaturgical, directing or acting support, and then produce some of them in the coming years at KUFER or help them reach other possible producers on the independent scene or in institutions. The project aims to establish the most direct way of communication and work with younger artists, mentored development of their concepts over a longer period and then their presentation to theater directors, heads of organizations, directors and producers. The project aims to open space for those segments that, due to lack of time and financial resources, are most often absent, namely the thorough preparation and elaboration of the project before the actual production of the play begins. Also, KUFER_koncept will serve as a kind of training ground for the exchange of ideas, open discussions and the establishment of possible new collaborations, in which KUFER will play the role of producer or mediator towards other production platforms, depending on the specific concept.

Artists with a maximum of 2 works in a professional context have the right to apply for their concepts.

Concepts as written elaborations of ideas up to a maximum of 2 cards of text (a card of text = 1800 characters with white spaces) are sent with a short biography of the applicant to the email produkcija.kufer@gmail.com , with the indication: KUFER_koncpet in the subject of the email, no later than June 1st 2023 . Individuals and groups of several members have the right to apply. All applicants will receive written feedback by the 15th at the latest. August 2023 It is not necessary to send complete dramatic texts, but it is possible to send an excerpt of up to 5 cards along with the concept.

The presentation of the selected concepts is planned for the beginning of September 2023. years.
